The SAT is an admissions test accepted by universities in the United States to assess students’ readiness for college. It is based on the work students do in class and is owned by the College Board, a private, non-profit organization. The test is based on the skills and competencies acquired by students in high school and focuses on the knowledge they will use in college and in the real world.
The SAT is essential for all students wishing to study at university in the USA, as it is a requirement for an athletic or academic scholarship. The test is administered in person and consists of several sections: Reading, Writing and Language, Mathematics, and an optional essay.
